Nancy Donskoj

I got my first camera in 1976 and have been looking at life through the lens ever since. My subjects have ranged from street photography, portraits, urban landscapes and nature taken during my travels in the old Soviet Union, Haiti, Ireland, Wales, Germany and beyond. Most recently I have focused my eye on the City of Kingston where I live. I seem to be drawn to juxtaposition of humans in nature, the beautiful and the absurd and the ever-changing urban landscape. One photographer that influenced my work was Lilo Raymond who once said to me, “When the light is right, I shoot”. In the end it is all about the light.
