Renee Vichinsky

Born in a DP camp in Poland, Renee spent her early years in Israel before coming to the US. She majored in art and holds a Masters in Art Education from Brooklyn College. Over the years she studied with many well- known potters from diverse cultures. She has been running her own full-time studio with her husband Howard since 1980. Her work is in many prestigious collections including the Wolfson Museum in Jerusalem and in many publications including "Better Homes and Gardens"(Dec. 1990).

"I make pieces to be used by people performing Jewish rituals. So aside from aesthetic considerations, my concerns are halachic and practical ones. I hope that my work will be appreciated by people from all walks of life and that it will become a legacy for future generations"
