Suzanne Neusner
Suzanne Neusner has been a fiber artist for the past 35 years. She began creating tapestries and now her most recent creations are quilts. Her work is primarily abstract, using color and shape to highlight contrast and texture. Her work centers around whimsical themes and nonconforming shapes. For inspiration, she draws from her natural surroundings in the Hudson River Valley, as well as from her prior work in other media including oils, stained glass and block prints.
Professionally, she has exhibited her work in one woman shows in St. Petersburg FL, Spencertown NY, Kingston NY, and Poughkeepsie NY. This spring she will have a one woman show in New Haven, CT. In addition, her work has been accepted into many national juried shows. She has also been commissioned to create heirloom huppot (Jewish wedding canopies.)
