Ballinskelligs Meadow
$650.00
My work is an abstract exploration of nature, and the dialog between geometry and organic shapes and textures. Monotypes give me an opportunity to play with these dancing forms and colors—plus the white space provided by the paper—allowing the ink to flow as it wants to, then creating lines and edges for contrast. The diptych series, of which this is one, was inspired by a residency in County Kerry, Ireland, where I was deeply moved by both the lushness of the vegetation and the vast horizontality of the landscape.
