While on an artists’ residency in County Kerry, Ireland, this stunning, expansive horizon was the view from my cottage. It also bore a resemblance to the gorgeous views of the Ashokan Reservoir right in my neighborhood back at home. When I returned to the printmaking studio I was inspired by the vast horizontality of the landscape in Ireland to embark on a series of diptychs, of which this is one.

• Monotype: one-of-a-kind painting created on plexiglass then run through a press to make an impression onto archival printing paper.
• Diptych: two plates were worked on at once and placed side by side on the paper to be printed.
• Colors: blacks, grays, purple and white
• Image size is 6″ x 21″ on 22″ x 30″ BFK Rives archival paper
